Is the whole social marketing buzz a myth or can you actually gain client through it ?
Well, the answer is more complex then a simple yes or no.
First factor to consider is that social media sites like Facebook and twitter have many visitors every day and that means you can potentially point those visitors with your posts into your site.
And here the formula is pretty simple , more visitors more clients.
The question is how important these stumbling visitors to your site are ?
Obviously a person who got to your site by accident looked at it and thought , Mmm… that’s a nice product is not not remotely the same as a targeted visit generated by actual visit form a search engine were the user searches and is in need of something or someone.
Now with that in mind, the effectiveness of social media can be measured by other aspects.
For instance , many social medai users would only consider your businss after you’ve gained their trust IE they visited your site from there they got to your Facebook page and saw that you have a huge feedback and lots of fans.
So now this visitor is thinking: “Whats going on there, maybe i should get in on that ?
So how do i attract the mobile crowd ?
Social media channels, like Facebook pages, should be filled with excellent and relevant content for your prospective clients. a good rule of thumb just like in any form of advertising is: “Get their attention” a funny or shocking image usually does the trick in that case.
Post engaging posts and video that can bring emotion (laughter and even shock ) from a person just browsing by your post even if its not directly what your selling.
Remember when talking about marketing attention is always good!
